Chantegrive Classic Red wine


GRAPES

50% Merlot & 50% Cabernet Sauvignon

CULTIVATION 

Reasoned cultivation, grass-planted rows, sucker removal & cluster thinning 

 

VINIFICATION 

Cold pre-fermentary maceration followed by fermentation in small, temperature -controlled vats for 3 to 4 weeks. Barrel-aged for 12 months in 50% new oak. 

 

TASTING 

Beautiful ruby colour, seductive and complex on the nose with hints of toasted bread and ripe blackberry. On the palate the attack is direct and generous, underpinned by silky tannins. 

 

Can be enjoyed with red meats, game birds, poultry and mild cheeses 

 

Chantegrive Blanc Classique

GRAPES

50% Sémillon & 50% Sauvignon


CULTIVATION 

Reasoned cultivation, raised trellises, grass-planted rows. 

 

VINIFICATION 

Fermentation in temperature-controlled vats and aging on the lees. 

 

TASTING

Pale yellow robe, refreshing bouquet with refined aromas of acacia flowers, honeysuckle, and white peaches.To be served between 8° and 10°C with fish or sea-food dishes  

 

Excellent as an aperitif in association with warm canapés or with vegetable starters. 

 

Chantegrive Rouge Cuvée Henri Lévêque

GRAPES

50% Merlot & 50% Cabernet Sauvignon

CULTIVATION 

Reasoned cultivation, grass-planted rows, sucker removal & cluster thinning 

 

VINIFICATION 

Cold pre-fermentary maceration followed by fermentation in small, temperature -controlled vats and malo lactic fermentation in new oak barrels. Barrel-aged for 15 months. This wine is not racked or filtered. 

 

TASTING 

Beautiful intense ruby color with a touch of dark plum. On the nose, lots of fruits with hints of chocolate and a slight suggestion of vanilla. Full-bodied and polished on the palate, a rich, generous wine with refined silky tannins. 

  

Can be enjoyed with grilled or braised red meats, duck breast and ceps, roasted poultry with herbs and spices, fruits desserts with Sechuan pepper, mild cheeses.

 

Chantegrive Blanc Cuvée Caroline 

GRAPES

50% Sémillon & 50% Sauvignon


CULTIVATION 

Reasoned cultivation, grass-planted rows.

VINIFICATION 

Cold maceration with skin and pre fermentary cold stabulation during 3 weeks. Barrel fermentation in French oak barrels (50% of new oak) for 9 months, with «bâtonnages» on lees. 


TASTING 

An intense nose of citrus, white flowers. The palate has a nice fruity start with balanced oak and a long finish on exotic fruits.
 

Perfect with sea-food, scallops, prawns, white meat,
oven-baked fish, or with cream sauce, sweetbreads, light cheese and foie gras.
